Punctum Cecum ist der blinde Fleck im Auge. Er ist der Ort wo die Ganglion Zellen des Auges, die uns zum Sehen befähigen, nicht vorhanden sind, um einen Ort zu schaffen, wo der optische Nerv sich formen kann. Der blinde Fleck ist notwendig, um das Sehen zu ermöglichen.
Was wir Sehen bestimmt eigentlich unser Gehirn im Dialog mit dem optischen Nerv. In jedem Bild gibt es einen blinden Fleck, der dem Erschaffer des Images nicht bewusst ist, der aber die Sicht von der Intention fort leitet und den Riss öffnet, der die Arbeit mit anderem Inhalt auffüllt und verdichtet.
Punctum Cecum is the blind spot in the eye. It is the location without ganglion cells, our potential for seeing. It forms the space for the optical nerve. Thus, the blind spot is necessary to enable us to see.
What we actually see, depends upon a dialogue of our brain and the optical nerve. In each image there is a blind spot, unbeknownst to the creator, that will lead the focus away from the intention and open a tear in the rational to fill it with a different content.
